The site you are visiting now is the first step on a journey of a thousand miles. As the odometer of that journey eventually flips over, we arrive at a popular, successful, helpful website that basically runs itself, rolls out some new 3rd party acquired bells and whistles every year or so, and provides a descent income stream for the people involved with its operation. Until then, a thousand miles seems like an awfully long walk.
The Pitch: I need help to fulfil the vision of this journey. Please consider this an informal team building request for competent assistance with all aspects of business administration for a popular, successful, helpful website. As far as my contributions to the team are concerned, I'm very good with user experience, music and audio production, I can write but usually require editing, and I have strong visual compositional skills, but I've never built a successful business before.
More than that, however, I really hope to coalesce a group of people who get what this site is about and share a desire to see it up and running to the benefit of many satisfied subscribers. The homepage illustration is formulated to let you know if you are in any way the type of person who gets what this site is about and shares a desire to see it up and running. It encapsulates the heart of my intent with regard to mymagicaldiary.com and is a rough graphical representation of the homepage I envision.
From the homepage, the next design challenge is to create a subscriber account page for logging personal events of relevance and importance to the user, day by day, moment by moment, year after year. Please visit the diary entry examples page and the user login page to see in broad strokes, some of the basic elements of a user post/entry. The user experience, from decide-to-post, to final device tap that logs the event content is key to the success of this site.
Finally, each magical diary entry is time-stamped with a current astrological chart, sealing the event in celestial time. Astrological analytics abound as magical diary entries accumulate over time. Cosmic patterns emerge, enlightenment is at hand...
It upsets me to think how unsuccessful I've been in logging my own significant life events. I would like to help others avoid a similar fate. It's difficult to know in advance what will be important to reference accurately in the future. I believe in this app, that it can be successful, popular and most of all, helpful.
